Uber Partners with Manna to Launch Air Delivery in Ireland

Uber Technologies and Manna today announced a strategic partnership that will see Uber's first European launch of air delivery, marking a significant milestone in last-mile logistics.

Launching in Ireland, the service integrates Manna's flight-proven air delivery system with Uber's global platform and logistics expertise, creating an end-to-end experience engineered for speed, safety and reliability at scale. The companies plan to expand air deliveries into more European cities over time.

Uber is building a multimodal delivery network that includes traditional couriers and vehicles alongside sidewalk robots and now air delivery. As a European industry leader with seven years of experience, Manna brings aerial delivery expertise that enables consumers to receive orders in minutes while reducing congestion and emissions.

Eoghan Huston, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Manna Air Delivery, said: "This partnership with Uber marks a defining moment for air delivery. Over the past seven years, we've proven that air delivery can operate safely, reliably and at scale in real communities.

"Integrating with Uber's global platform allows us to bring that capability to more consumers, merchants and independent retailers, accelerating the shift toward faster, cleaner last-mile delivery. Our focus remains simple: build the safest, fastest and most sustainable delivery infrastructure in the world."

Sarfraz Maredia, President of Autonomous Mobility & Delivery at Uber, said: "Autonomous technology is shaping the future of delivery, whether it's on the streets or in the skies. By combining Uber's scale with Manna's proven aerial expertise, we're bringing fast, efficient and sustainable delivery to consumers and merchants alike. We're proud to launch in Europe and excited to introduce this technology to more Uber Eats customers over time."

Delivery in minutes

Manna has completed over 250,000 air deliveries across Europe and operates with high European safety accreditations, demonstrating that its drones can safely and reliably share the skies with crewed aircraft.

Integrating Manna's drones with Uber's network of restaurants, merchants and consumers will unlock faster, safer and more cost-efficient last-mile logistics at scale. Air delivery has the potential to reduce delivery times, lower costs and cut emissions compared with traditional methods, making it possible for dinners and daily essentials to arrive in minutes.

At launch, eligible Uber Eats customers in Dublin will be able to receive air deliveries from restaurant, grocery and pharmacy partners. When the aircraft arrives, it lowers the order gently to the selected delivery spot and releases the tether. The aircraft does not land.

Manna aircraft travel at up to 50 mph, with flights usually taking less than three minutes. They are engineered to airline-grade safety standards, with redundant safety systems and operational oversight by trained aircraft dispatchers.
